Fit is a relationship.

Kimono fit is more adjustable than conventional tailored clothing, but it still depends on length, width, proportion, and how the garment will be dressed.

Measurements we will use

Your body

Height, hip circumference, arm span, and footwear plan help establish the dressing range.

The garment

Full length, sleeve-to-sleeve width, back width, front width, sleeve length, and condition will be confirmed per piece.

How adjustment works

Traditional wrapped dressing allows extra length to be drawn up beneath the obi and the overlap to be adjusted. This flexibility does not make every garment universal. Width, reach, fabric condition, and the intended styling still matter.

Proportion changes the whole look

The relationship between shoulder line, sleeve length, obi height, skirt or kimono length, and pattern placement shapes how formal and balanced the outfit feels. We assess those relationships together.
