The textiles in this presentation retain their relation to the body without needing a wearer. A collar marks an opening. A seam suggests movement. Suspended against trees and buildings, the garment can feel both present and unoccupied.

At first, a textile may read as a single field of blue or a large floral image. A closer view reveals repeated marks, interruptions and small changes at the folds. The surface does not give up all of its information at once.

On a body, a textile follows movement. On a hanger, it holds an outline. Beside architecture, its soft edges meet straight lines. None of these views is the whole object; each brings a different quality into focus.
